                                      Online Music Training

In this day and age, folks love to get things for free online. Me, too! I search around for free stuff all the time.

The trouble is that you might not be able to get all you want that way.

My experience indicates that most free online training might not be all you need.

You might need to spend some money and effort. Still, you'd like to limit your outgo or these items and it's possible that you CAN learn to play completely for free.

However, I'd venture to say that you'll "get what you pay
for!"

Thus, bookmark or remember this site so you can return!

When you do come back (as I expect you will!) please recognize that I teach only folks old enough to drive.

Science now shows that any person can be healthier by making music instead of simply listening.

You are likely wondering how much it might cost, however.

That depends utterly on what you need.

However, I'll be happy to answer any questions FOR FREE so long as I know what those questions are.
You simply must contact me somehow.

I have to know what you'd like to accomplish and I need to ask you some very pertinent questions.

I answer all email (
danstarrorg@yahoo.com) within 24 hours.

Or, if you prefer, you can phone me at (520) 203-7490.

Because I do NOT think you can learn to play from scratch online, I've designed stuff for those who can read and play a bit already.

Does this describe you? Did you have some piano training years ago?

If so, you should check out what I have to offer.

Science has proven that you can learn at any age and that your efforts are very useful. Older folks should know that such work keeps your brain going strong and your body SUPPLE.

The list below goes from cheapest to most expensive (although none of it is all that expensive, compared to live teachers!)

Also, online services are there when YOU need them.

This list will be followed by full descriptions of each offering!

1. My books at amazon.com

2. 24/7 access to all my techniques and methods for improving your playing

3. Personal "De-bug" Service

I'll now describe each "offering!"

1. Books -

Special note - 2013 - I've decided to return to the "How to..." titles (previous titles were "The Non-Mozart's Guides") for my books at amazon.

This will take awhile, however, cause it's major effort, so if you click a link below and go there don't be surprised at what you see and read.

I'm in the process of switching this over. Obviously, once this process is over I'll be removing this "note"!

The "How to..." Series

My books are a great value! The most expensive of these is $9 which is MUCH less than a single lesson with a decent instructor and possibly even less than the gas to go to their studio.

It is also a huge time saver.

My books are often more about "non-traditional" topics than the usual stuff.

Don't own a "book reader?" NO PROBLEM! Start here (link)

I have also "broken up" all the longer books into a series of less expensive and short ones for the person who wants helps with, say, practicing, but already reads music well enough.

There is no reason to learn more about anything other than what you need and want.

Of course, you might not know "what you need and want" and, if that's the case, I suggest you get the full book.

Here's a list of all the books in the series with links to get each one.

You might need to find a local teacher. Here is a link on how to do that!

Got kids interested in music? You need How to Help Kids Learn to Play! It's here and can save any parent a ton of money and frustration.

My books are a great way to study at your own pace and do what YOU want to do with YOUR favorite music when YOU want to do it,

These books give you my very best methods of telling you what you need to know, based on what has worked with folks like you since I started teaching back in 1987.

Click the links below to go to amazon.com to examine these books:

How to use Chords and Fakebooks

How to Understand Chord Progressions

How to Buy, Enjoy, and Learn a Digital Piano (or Portable Keyboard)

How to Compose, Improvise, and "Fancy-up" a Tune

How to Sing While Playing Keyboard/Piano

How to Play Keyboards in a Band

Finally, a special book for piano and keyboard TEACHERS:

How to Teach Keyboard/Piano to Adults

There are several smaller books that cover every aspect of the topics above.

2. The Dan Starr Membership Site

For a small monthly fee (of $10/ month!) you can access everyone of my techniques and methods.

It's like having your own instructor on your schedule. Sample 25+ years of teaching and writing. Go here to check this out.

3. Personal De-bug Service

The Personal De-Bug Service is how I've learned to solve long term troubles of folks I'm never likely to meet.

This action consists of my analysis of what's preventing your advancement.

It will prove just what you need to "un-stick" you. It could take a few days, but it will work (cause I'll make sure it does!)

You'll need to start the balling rolling by contacting me at
danstarrorg@yahoo.com or phone me directly at (520) 203- 7490
